DR. A. ALAM GUL

Care Comes First

Dr. A. Alam Gul was born in Peshawar, Pakistan and is of Pashtoon descent. He Moved to the U.S. as a young child and obtained a high school diploma in Chicago, Illinoise at the age of 16. Looking for a change of pace and a cultural experience, Dr. Gul moved to the Dominican Republic where he completed his Pre-Med and Medical School at UNIBE (Universidad Iberoamericana). During his training in a 3rd world country, Dr. Gul adapted to many unique situations that required the treatment of patients in a distinctive manner.

Having traveled extensively and encountered people of different walks of life, Dr. Gul has had the opportunity to learn many different languages. He is fluent in Pashto, Urdu, Spanish, Hindi, and Punjabi. He partially understands other languages such as Arabic, Farsi and Bosnian.

He completed his Family Medicine Residency Program in Sylvania, Ohio in 2010. His mentors have influenced his love for Geriatric Medicine substantially.

Upon returning to Georgia, Dr. Gul settled in Gwinnett County and joined his fathers long standing practice. After numerous years and the sale of the family business, Dr. Gul decided to practice in Oglethorpe County. He gained substantial recognition in the community and fell in love with its people and decided to move his family to a farm in Oglethorpe County.

During his free time, Dr. Gul enjoys traveling and offroading with his friends and family. When he is not feeling adventurous he likes to tend to his livestock and farm while spending time with his children.
